My name is Gwen and I am the founder and business owner of Influential Advisor.

My personal journey has been one of joy, sorrow, laughter and challenges as most people.

I’ve experienced homelessness, divorce and abuse, but also incredible spiritual, joyful and adventurous experiences that bought about incredible growth. This all opened my mind to life changing events.

I became empowered and filled my mind with knowledge and an incredible thirst for adventure. Life can change in unexpected, wonderful ways once we become empowered.

About Gwen Hodder

I have experienced many different career paths and life journeys. Yet it was when I began exploring and learning a wide range of healing modalities that my life truly began to transform. Through these experiences came deep personal growth, greater self-awareness, and a stronger understanding of the human experience. This journey not only supported my own healing and evolution, but also awakened a passion within me to guide and support others with compassion, insight, and heart-centred care.

Eventually, I felt called to begin a new chapter and moved to New South Wales, Australia, where I continued studying and practising natural therapies. I established a natural therapy business in the Blue Mountains, and over time, many of my clients encouraged me to begin teaching. Creating and facilitating courses became something I deeply loved, and sharing knowledge continues to be one of my greatest passions today.

One of the most profound experiences of my life was when I was living in the Blue mountains, New South Wales, I travelled into the Australian desert, where I stayed with six Indigenous desert tribes at Pukatja, formerly known as Ernabella. I slept beneath the stars in a traditional swag on sacred women’s ceremony land and felt deeply honoured to learn about Indigenous history, culture, and Dreamtime wisdom. It was an experience that deeply touched my soul and further strengthened my understanding of healing, connection, and spirit.

Later, I moved to the Sunshine Coast, where I volunteered at a shelter supporting homeless teenagers while also establishing my healing practice.

Today, I continue my passion for supporting others through heart-centred, multidimensional healing. My work combines Hypnotherapy, Qi Gong Energy Healing, intuitive guidance, and psychic/mediumship readings to help people reconnect with themselves, release emotional blocks, and restore greater peace, clarity, and balance in their lives.

I have over 35 years of experience and qualifications and support people from all over the world. Since childhood, I have had what many would describe as a strong “sixth sense,” and over the years I have learned to work with this gift in a grounded, compassionate, and supportive way to help guide others through life’s challenges.

My journey has also included extensive independent travel throughout Europe, the United Kingdom, Thailand, New Zealand, Australia, the United States, and many other countries, experiences that have broadened my understanding of people, healing, and human connection.

I feel especially passionate about supporting women. There have been many times in my own life when I faced difficult challenges that left me feeling isolated and alone. During those periods, I was deeply grateful for the support of gifted healers, counselors, and compassionate people who helped guide me back to balance. Those experiences taught me how important it is to have someone outside the situation who can offer support, clarity, understanding, and hope.

It is now my privilege to offer that same support to others through private sessions, workshops, and teaching.
